Vienna is adapting its Corona test offer to “current needs” starting May 1.

New adjustments are being made to the Vienna Test Rules. Everything you need to know.
“Physical testing services in Vienna will be adapted to current needs as of May 1, 2022,” the city said Saturday. “Gargle boxes, COVID checkboxes, and test streets will still be available to all Viennese. Unchanged are all delivery and collection locations for ‘Alles Gurgelt’ and the previous test offer in the Viennese pharmacies,” the city government announced.
Experts advise: Every household should now have this emergency package.
The opening hours are now from 7 am to 7 pm. Only PCR tests and no more rapid antigen tests are available as test methods.

The opening hours for the COVID checkboxes for the general practitioner’s clarification are also 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (unless otherwise indicated). The test method used is rapid antigen tests before clarification. If the rapid antigen test is positive, a PCR test is performed.
